Ministry Opportunities

Celebration Choir - Our Celebration Choir is an extremely important part of the worship experience at Warren Woods Church of the Nazarene as it "propels" the congregation into a spirit of praise and worship. Therefore, true worshipers are needed for this group. Christ followers who are quick to express their adoration of the Lord and are authentic in that expression can greatly add to the choir's effectiveness.

The Celebration Choir is the foundation that feeds the vocal music ministry. If you have a desire to minister regularly before the entire congregation, you should consider joining the choir.

Praise Team Members - Under the administration of the worship leader, the musical focus of our weekly worship experiences is "driven" by the praise team. The team is divided into two groups: the praise singers and the praise band.   These are selected individuals, chosen by the music staff. The praise team is open to all regular attendees willing to audition and commit to the rehearsal schedule.

Special Productions - Throughout the year, Encounter Worship and Arts Ministry may present various programs or special events. These events are large undertakings, and require additional rehearsals and personal accountability to learn music and/or drama parts. Prior to the beginning of these rehearsals a schedule will be distributed as a guideline for the commitment level.

Drama and Dance - Our drama and dance groups exist to visually display God's word and His principles through relevant, cutting edge scripts, and artistic dance presentations during services or events. It's our desire to see this ministry utilized to a greater degree in our services and church community.  We're always looking for gifted people to serve as actors, directors, writers, set designers, prop experts, etc. The drama and dance ministry is open to all adults and youth upon audition.

Technical Arts - It is our desire to continue to build a talented team that seeks to support the Encounter Worship and Arts Ministry by operating our audio and visual equipment, including the sound system, video production and projection, lighting, and stage set up/teardown. Individuals interested in serving on this important team must have a servant's heart and an ear/eye for excellence. Previous experience is helpful but training will be given. There are additional opportunities for technical involvement outside of service times, including weddings, funerals and special events.
