Ignite Children's Ministries of "The Woods" Church of the Nazarene

Ignite 56 meets in the 56 Warehouse on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Ignite 56 is a ministry designed with the pre-teen in mind. 56ers are no longer kids but they are not yet a teen. They can see past the now moment—and see how actions have consequences. They are beginning to see that they have choices and what they choose matters. Our goal is to take God’s Word and bring it to life on the issues they face.

When your preteen enters, they can play air hockey, Dance Revolution, Wii, Jumbo Jenga and other games until service starts. Then most weeks, we’ll spend 30 minutes all together praising God through song with music; playing wacky games; and listening to a Bible lesson. After that, we’ll spend the rest of the time in small groups: girls with girls and guys with guys. During this time we’ll get to know each other, discover how the Bible lesson applies to our lives, and pray for each other.

So, come join your friends in Ignite 56—and take the next steps in your walk with Jesus.

Relationships: whether it's peer-to-peer, younger siblings or adult authority, it's important for pre-teens to understand why relationships are important.
Faith: the greatest relationship for a pre-teen is that of their own relationship with God. We endeavor to provide solid Biblical answers to pre-teen questions about who God really is and why He is important in their young lives.
Choices: with the importance of relationships at this age, often times pre-teens are asked to make important choices. Ignite 56 is a place to discuss how, when and why to make good, wise choices even when it seems to go against the peer influences. In fact, we want pre-teens to understand how they can be positive influences and leaders at this young age and then carry this on in life.
